Aunt Bessie’s quick and easy crumble mix, just as it should be. We blend flour, sugar and oats for a satisfyingly sweet, golden, crunchy topping. Ready for you to sprinkle over fruit, bake in the oven, then ask the all-important question: ice-cream or custard?

How To Cook:

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 190°C, 375°F, Gas Mark 5.
  2. Place 450g (1lb) cooked fruit, pie filling or drained canned fruit in a 1 litre oven proof dish.
  3. If using fresh fruit also add 3 tbsp (45ml) of water and 3 tbsp (42g) of sugar.
  4. Sprinkle the golden crumble mix over the fruit and gently level the top.
  5. Bake in the pre-heated oven for 30-40 minutes until the crumble is golden brown.
