SCOTTISH HERRING (known locally as “Silver Darlings”) are caught in the NORTH EAST ATLANTIC and landed in the traditional fishing ports of FRASERBURGH and PETERHEAD. The Herring are then filleted, cured and SLOWLY SMOKED (kippered) over BEECHWOOD. This creates a wonderful rich SMOKEY FLAVOUR, delicious served with buttered new potatoes.

Mmm Mmm they are great, glad I orderd four packs. I love them on a plate with two poached eggs (Boiled in Malt Vinegar) on top, just the way Mum used to serve them. Heaven on a plate :)
Breakfast, supper, luncheon too!

Just tried these for the first time. SOOO good. Served with a slice of whole wheat bread and butter - very tasty. Hubby loved them too and the dog drooled the whole time we were eating!
