How to Cook Ready-to-Bake Goodwoods Traditional Cornish Pasty?

Oven cook from Frozen – Preheat oven to 200°C. Remove the pie from its packaging and place it on a baking tray covered in foil. Cook at 180°C for 30 – 35 minutes. Optional: put an egg wash over the top before baking. 

Recipe Idea– Classic Potato Salad

This classic potato salad is a great dish to be served with a traditional Cornish beef pasty.

Ingredients

  • 800 g small new potatoes
  • 3 shallots finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp cornichons, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp small capers
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • Some parsley leaves finely chopped
  • Salt

 

Preparation

  • Fill a large pot with water, add salt and boil the potatoes in it. Boil for 20 minutes or till the potatoes is just cooked. Drain under cold water and set aside.
  • Cut the potatoes into chunks and place them in a deep bowl. Add the chopped shallots, cornichons, and capers. Next, add the white wine vinegar, mayonnaise (use more if required to bind the salad), olive oil, and chopped parsley leaves.
  • Sever with the Cornish beef pasty.
