The poppy is the symbol of Remembrance and of the Poppy Appeal.

What happened to the poppies! It looks nothing like the poppies we are used to. Ok so it's just a buck, but still. The one I got is just plain ugly and made of cheap construction paper—paper stem, paper leaf, paper poppy head, and paper center. For want of a better phrase, it looks completely lifeless. I don’t recommend this at all. It was such a disappointment. All the other reviews for this seem like they were written by the same person. My observation. I think I’ll just have a family member send me one from the UK instead.
