How to Cook Crown British Style Sliced Back Bacon
- Remove the back bacon from the packet and pat away excess moisture.
- Pre-heat a griddle or heavy-based pan.
- No need to season this meat as it is already cured.
- Add a few rashers on the griddle or pan – do not overcrowd.
- Snipping the rind halfway down with a pair of kitchen scissors prevents the bacon from curling.
- Cook the bacon over high heat and turn only after the side has been caramelized. Each side of the bacon needs to be cooked approximately for 2 minutes or till they are sizzling.
Recipe Idea
Bacon and Jalapeno Cannelloni
- 10 Crown British Style Sliced Bacon
- 1/2 cup pickled jalapenos chopped
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 10 pieces of cannelloni
- foil
Preheat oven to 350° F
- Wrap the cannelloni individually in foil, and make sure the edges are tucked in neatly. Wrap 1 slice of Crown British Style bacon around every foil-wrapped cannelloni.
- Place the cannelloni-wrapped bacon on a baking sheet.
- Bake for approximately 30-40 minutes or till very crispy. Set aside and allow to cool.
For the filling:
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and jalapenos together with the help of an electric mixer till the ingredients are well combined.
Fill the mixture in a piping bag, and then fill the crispy bacon shells with this mixture. Enjoy!
