How to Cook Crown British Style Sliced Back Bacon

  • Remove the back bacon from the packet and pat away excess moisture.
  • Pre-heat a griddle or heavy-based pan.
  • No need to season this meat as it is already cured.
  • Add a few rashers on the griddle or pan – do not overcrowd.
  • Snipping the rind halfway down with a pair of kitchen scissors prevents the bacon from curling.
  • Cook the bacon over high heat and turn only after the side has been caramelized. Each side of the bacon needs to be cooked approximately for 2 minutes or till they are sizzling.

 

Recipe Idea

Bacon and Jalapeno Cannelloni

  • 10 Crown British Style Sliced Bacon
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapenos chopped
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 10 pieces of cannelloni
  • foil

 

Preheat oven to 350° F

  • Wrap the cannelloni individually in foil, and make sure the edges are tucked in neatly. Wrap 1 slice of Crown British Style bacon around every foil-wrapped cannelloni.
  • Place the cannelloni-wrapped bacon on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for approximately 30-40 minutes or till very crispy. Set aside and allow to cool.

 

For the filling:

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and jalapenos together with the help of an electric mixer till the ingredients are well combined.

 

Fill the mixture in a piping bag, and then fill the crispy bacon shells with this mixture. Enjoy!
