Pouch Pies Bobotie Curried Ground Beef Pie 7oz - 1/2lb Ship Weight

A warm and nostalgic nod to a South African classic dish, reimagined the Pouch Pies way. Our Bobotie Pie (pronounced BO-BOO-TEE) wraps all the rich, comforting flavors of the beloved dish into a golden puff pastry crust (without the egg topping as it's traditionally served). Inside, you’ll find mildly spiced ground beef cooked with sweet onions, golden raisins, and of course Mrs. Ball’s famous chutney for that unmistakable tangy-sweet finish.

1. Let it chill. For best results, thaw pie overnight in the
   refrigerator before baking.
   
   2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
   
   3. Unwrap and bake. Remove packaging and place
   pie on a baking sheet. Bake on the center rack of the oven.
   
   From Thawed 20 – 30 min; From Frozen (if you must!) 35 – 45 min
   Oven times may vary.
   
   4. Check the temp. Ensure the internal temperature
   reaches 165°F (74°C) using a food thermometer.
   
   5. Cool and enjoy. Let pie rest for a few minutes before serving.
