There is nothing like a good bacon butty, there is good bacon in America but you have to search for something akin to meat as much of it is just fat. I have spent plenty of time at USA supermarkets going through pack after pack of bacon looking for something that as more meat than fat.
While I understand that the cut is different, and I do love American bacon crisped, I always feel we have been robbed, especially as at sometimes by the time I have cut the fat away there is nothing left.
This danish back bacon, reminds me of home and bacon butties with brown sauce(I have that too!) Unfortunately my American Grandchildren do not appreciate it, I do occasionally allow my own children, both British born, the luxury of a full English breakfast, all from Goodwoods, including kippers, and they love it.
If you want to taste real bacon, if you do not want to have fat weigh more than the meat, try this delicious back bacon.

This bacon didn't disappoint! It only had the usual thin piece of fat that you'd expect from back bacon and nothing more.. all meat, slightly thicker cut and the taste was amazing. The amount of rashers in the pack was enough for a full English and bacon butties thereafter for 3. So I'd say very good value for the price. A taste of home...
