Cadbury chocolate spread is widely enjoyed in Britain. It has become a popular and versatile spread that people use on toast, sandwiches, pancakes, and more. Cadbury's chocolate spread has always been popular among British households and is a common pantry food item. For years, it has been used to create delicious treats, fillings, and toppings in various bakery goodies.
History of Cadbury
John Cadbury was the person behind the brand Cadbury. He laid the foundations of this famous company back in the 1800's. The company had humble beginnings, and John sold coffee, tea, and drinking chocolate on Bull Street in Birmingham, England.
He then made a factory on Bridge Street in 1831, where he began the production of cocoa and drinking chocolates. In 1847, he added his brother Benjamin as a partner in his company. It was only in 1849 that they made their first chocolate bar. They also received a royal warrant in 1854 as the manufacturers of cocoa and chocolate to Queen Victoria.
Over the years, the ownership of Cadbury changed hands several times, and the company went through many ups and downs. Today, it is owned by Mondelez International and is headquartered in Greater London, and their operations run in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Cadbury Chocolate Spread is a more recent product of the company and was launched somewhere in 2018. However, it soon became popular because of its ease of use – it can be enjoyed in so many ways, and people do not have to make the chocolate spread from scratch.

Cadbury Chocolate Spread Stuffed Pancakes
Ingredients
Cadbury Chocolate Spread – for filling
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Cooking spray or extra butter to use in the pan
Preparation
- Take a large bowl and whisk together the dry ingredients- flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add the wet ingredients – egg, buttermilk, and melted butter in a separate bowl.
- Now, mix the wet and dry ingredients together and stir until combined. Do not overmix – do not worry if there are a few lumps. They will melt as you cook the pancakes.
- Place a non-stick pan over medium heat. Lightly coat with cooking spray or butter. Add 1/4 cup of batter for each of the pancake onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Cook all the pancakes and set aside.
- Take one pancake spread the Cadbury chocolate spread over it generously. Place another pancake over it to create a stuffed sandwich.
- If you like to feel the warm chocolaty taste, warm the pancakes in the microwave for just a few seconds before serving. You can drizzle it with some more chocolate while serving. It will also taste good with a dollop of cream. If you enjoy this summer desert, feel free to have it with some ice cream.
Cadbury Chocolate Spread Stuffed French Toast Roll-Ups
Ingredients
- 8 slices of choice of bread
- Cadbury Chocolate Spread
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Butter for cooking
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Fresh berries for garnish
Instructions
- Flatten the bread slice using a rolling pin. Flattering the bread makes it easier to roll it.
- Spread a generous layer of Cadbury Chocolate Spread on each flattened bread slice.
- Roll up each bread slice tightly, creating a compact roll-up with the chocolate spread inside.
- In a bowl (shallow), whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to create an egg mixture.
- Dip each chocolate-filled roll-up into the egg mixture – make sure the rolls are coated evenly.
- Heat butter in a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Place the coated roll-ups on the griddle, seam side down (so it doesn’t open). Cook until golden brown on all sides.
- Once cooked, you can dust the roll-ups with powdered sugar for a touch of sweetness.
- Serve the Cadbury Chocolate Spread Stuffed French Toast Roll-Ups warm. Optionally, garnish with fresh berries for a fruity contrast.
